I will stay here again. We had a nice view of the canal. I liked being close to the main Waikiki strip but far enough away that it wasn't loud. Since we stayed six days, we were given complimentary breakfast, which was a varied mix of Asian and typical American food. Good coffee too. The pool is lovely, the staff nice, and no one freaked out over my bright red nail polish. If you get a complimentary shuttle ride back to the airport, make sure you specify the time you want to be picked up since the shuttle company will charge you if you don't cancel three days beforehand.

Sometimes late check-out is possible (if there is nobody checking in to your room on the day you're leaving). If not they have two spare bathrooms for their guests, so you can take a shower before your flight (free of charge). They also have a storage room for your luggage if you want to go to the beach after checking out.

If you are on a budget and looking for a hotel in Waikiki that's the place to stay at! It's very close to Waikiki beach (5min walk), the rooms are nice and clean and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. There is everything you need inside the hotel - pool, jacuzzi, bar&restaurant, wine bar, spa, computer room, free wifi in the entire hotel including rooms, laundromats, etc.

Sign up for their newsletter and you might get free breakfast included with your stay. It's nothing fancy, but very good and varied - scrambled eggs, sausages, rice, vegetables, croissants, muffins, soup, yogurt, fruit (pineapples, melons, etc.), sometimes oatmeal, juice (4 flavors), water, coffee, tea.

It was my second time staying at Waikiki Sand Villa and I recommend it to everyone who is looking for a nice hotel and can't afford Hilton or Royal Hawaiian.

It hasn't been built yet but it's the Construction work which remained's me of my father and uncles back in the days. Great bunch of guys on this job sites. You'll feel very comfortable with in the walls of this building knowing that it was built well, Aloha from Waikiki.

If you book for more than 4 nights on their website (which has better prices than most of booking websites) you get free airport shuttle, which will save you some money (usually the bus is around 15$ per person, one-way).

3 stars for food. Not bad. Nothing to write home about. But happy hour prices were great. So if you are looking for a deal, good place to go.

Friendly and stressfree budget accommodation, frequented mostly by grouptours from Japan. Rooms are small and the beds way too soft, my back started to hurt after the first night! The fan in the tiny bathroom was very loud and we had to switch it off when we were in the room. The location is not bad, it takes around 5 to 10 min walk to the center of Waikiki.

There is no resort fee, which is also another good way to save few extra bucks (this fee is very common in Honolulu hotels and in my opinion makes no sense).
