For a Marriott, it seemed the actual product (the rooms) were a bit beat up. The bar was fine downstairs, and the spa was awesome. I wish they had better parking -- it's pricey! More than 25% of the room cost, and on a side street.

Lets also not forget the army of red ants that will invade your room after a few days, I must have killed 10-20 of them in one night. Rather then offering to switch my room, they just sent up a cleaning lady to spray some bug spray all over the room. It looked like this was a common issue as they knew exactly where to spray and made it seem routine.

This hotel is way over-priced and really should be torn down and rebuilt. It is no where close to any other Courtyard I have stayed in, and I have stayed in quite a few over the years. The front desk staff was pretty useless in correcting any of my issues. I was told on 3 different occasions they would send up a maintenance worker but no body ever showed up. This hotel is also not in the best past of Waikiki, you will notice a lot of homeless and strange people walking around after dark and you will most likely be approached by someone at some point.

Positive: Concierge Shane is awesome and is a wealth of information about the Island!

The best part is the rooms include a pair of ear plugs so you can actually get a small amount of sleep as long as your not sweating profusely and no ambulances, police activity, or active construction are in the area. The room is so poorly insulated that even with the ear plugs you will still hear a great deal of noise from outside.

The shower reminds me of a solitary confinement cell, only much smaller. Its about 2.5 ft x 2.5 ft in size, has NO light at all and you will need to crouch way down to get your hair wet. I'm only 6ft tall so I can't even imaging being any taller. The room was in bad shape, holes and tears in the lamp shades and blinds, paint bubbles all over the place, cracks in the walls and seals all need to be redone.

I will never stay at this hotel again. It is poorly maintained and has been remodeled several times now. The location is terrible and safety is a concern after dark. Be ready to not sleep much and have very little space in your room. And bring yourself a nice fan because the AC barely works during the days and won't cool your room down until after 10PM.

The worst Courtyard I have ever stayed in. The rooms are tiny, not even enough room to put your suitcase anywhere except the floor, and I even booked the extra large room. There is no working thermostat in the rooms so you will fluctuate from sweating, to freezing your ass off several times a night. The AC unit in the rooms is very small and barely blows any cold air out. It fails to get the room cool enough until the middle of the night.

The staff were very friendly. The room i stayed in was small. Shower in the bathroom is very small. It's like a box. If your room is by the front side/street side. It is very loud!! If you're a light sleeper. You will not like it! They do offer ear plugs by your bedside. They are aware of the noise (reason for the ear plugs). You will hear motorcycles revving their engines while driving through the street. The bus stops in front of the hotel. You will hear the bus too. The hotel is located in the middle of everything. Very convenient to walk to the beach, etc. They offer valet parking for $39. Per night. They have a small swimming pool and a small bar in the lobby area.

I've stayed here a few times during overnight layovers. The rooms are clean and well kept with standard amenities. Also, the customer service is terrific. I once booked a room for my mom on the wrong date, and the staff was so accommodating and let me make last minute changes to my reservation over the phone, just in time for my mom's arrival two hours later. Given the chance, I'd definitely stay here again!

Huge disappointment, the rooms were so loud, as in you could hear everything outside in the hall and street. Loud Not restful at all!
