The next morning at 5:38am we got woken up by the same tow truck. It turns out that our top of the line 2 bedroom suite was located right beside the garbage dump for the building next door and every morning they are there to pick up the garbage. Please do keep in mind we have chosen the largest room they offer in this hotel. We complained to the manager Jay and then they switched us up to rooms on the 12th floor on the opposite side of the building.
The breakfast (which was included) was nothing to write home about. It was fine to start the day with but after 3 days I reckon i'd be eating elsewhere. In the evenings there was a 'happy hour' around the pool where you could get some complimentary drinks and snacks (nachos etc.).
Our family (2 adults, 2 kids - 5yr and 7yr) stayed at this hotel mid September as our first stop after our international flight. Quick to get to from the airport and check-in was quick too (no lines). We stayed in a 1 bedroom room (2 double beds in a separate room to the pull out sofa and TV). There was tea making facilities and a microwave in the room! Our view overlooked the street (which was fine). The room was in good repair and very clean.
On the last day we learned there is room service and the food from the room service was the least expensive and some of the best food we had the whole trip. So when going to this hotel, use the room service. It is pretty good compared.
We checked in a couple days before Christmas and we took 2x 2 bedroom suites. We got room numbers 203 and 303. Now we got to the hotel at 2am. Then at 5:45am we got woken up because of a tow truck beeping.
If we came back to Waikiki, we would stay here again.
I booked an ocean view room, yet I got a beautiful room but with a partial ocean view. I talked to the reception, and I was taken care of by the manager himself, a very professional guy, who gave me another room with an amazing ocean view, even the hotel itself is not an oceanfront hotel. The room was one of the largest suites they have as well.
"Great breakfast and manager's reception"
We went for breakfast and ate from the breakfast that is included. Stay away from the scrambled eggs and stick to the eggs made fresh. The grapefruit was very good, too bad they only had it the first and last day.
I really appreciate such a great, and fair handling of my concerns. I really don't care now how good the breakfast will be, and I'm not complaining at all about the $38 daily valet parking (the only option available). I have seen enough to tell me that the hotel worth every penny I spent to enjoy my time in Waikiki beach, which is by the way less than 5 min walk.
The heated pool was nice, busy with an attached spa (hot tub - which was hot) and well attended with beach towels available self serve.
Centrally located in the heart of Waikiki shopping area.
As a warning, do not take any rooms that has that exposure or you will be woken up daily. Jay is an amazing manager and tried to help, but unfortunately we still did pay to stay in a room for 5 nights, 2 of which we did not get to sleep and 1 day was spent moving from room to room. So I feel that 20% of our time that was paid for, we did not get the value for my money.
I cannot say enough about how great the staff were at this location!! Everyone was so kind and friendly that it made me feel right at home. Our room was upgraded, we were greeted with some amazing juice upon check in and of course received a diamond welcome. This place exemplifies the service level that I have come to expect from all Hilton properties!
Great location with all the shops and restaurants within easy walking distance and a stroll across the road and past another hotel to reach the shoreline.
I have only good things to say based on my experiences here at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikiki Beach Walk. Check in was a breeze. The breakfast service is the best on my experiences as I travel around the world. So staying here is definitely a yes for me in the future. The Staff (Front Desk, Housekeeping, Valet Parking) are all outstanding.
The weather was not with us throughout the couple days. It was a little windy and cold, and we got a flood warning the last day we were there.
Choose this hotel when you visit Waikiki and you won't be disappointed.
After talking to a couple guests I have found out that the issue with the tow trucks is actually affecting all the guests on that side of the tower. Which is why the other tower is preferred. I have spoken to a couple people outside of the hotel and they confirmed that it is well known that the hotel with that exposure has a lot of issues. So when booking and if you choose to stay there then make sure your not in that tower.
