Wonderful, friendly staff. Super family friendly. Convenient to great places to eat, many pools, great access to the beach and the lagoon. Great, free activities for the kids and adults. Fireworks on Fridays. Movies on the lawn at sun down on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Our family is having a blast during our stay.

Kitchen: Large oven with one baking tray, large microwave, blender, rice cooker, utensils, crockery (including some Pyrex mixing bowls and casserole dish), dishwasher, insinkerator, collander, sharp knives and scissors, glasses, wine glasses, perculator coffee machine, fridge/freezer with ice maker. (Coffee sugar, creamer supplied but no tea), dishwashing and washing detergent supplied. There is no salt/pepper condiments supplied or any plastic wrap/tin foil. Laundry: washing machine, dryer (detergent sachets supplied). Bedrooms: We had a 2 bedroom (1 king, 1 queen), wardrobe with some hangers, chest 8 drawers, tv in rooms, iron and ironing board, telephone with attached selected charging cords... Bathrooms: ensuite toilet, very deep bath, double sink, hair dryer, Japanese toilet, waterfall shower head. Spare bathroom: shower, normal toilet, sink. Body wash, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser supplied. No shower cap. We asked to borrow a pack n play which is a portacot. They brought it up to the room within minutes. Not much bedding supplied for it though, I took my own. Variety of pools to choose from. Lots of restaurants and some ABC convenience stores. Great location, local bus out front can take you most places on the island for a $5 all day pass. Only downside is we weren't greeted with a Lei when we arrived just after midday. But not a deal breaker. We probably could have got one if we asked. Definitely recommend staying here. Particularly for family's or longer stays as full kitchen and laundry are great to have!

I exchanged my timeshare on the big island for a two bedroom premier unit. Check in was a breeze. The room is fantastic. The view is nice, plus all the amenities you would expect at a high end resort. Prices at the on the grounds (restaurants and such) are extremely over priced and forget parking your rental. Self park is $40 per day or $50 of you want valet service. Over all I'm enjoying my stay but I still prefer the Big Island.

Background: I've stayed in Lagoon, Grand Waikikian, Ali'i, and Rainbow towers. The Grand Islander has a modern design and many amenities. I wish it had more of an island feel to it tough. It can feel a bit sterile at times. These are minor complaints and overall it's a beautiful place to stay.

Beautiful hotel! You can tell this place is new. The beds are great, towels big and soft, rooms and decor is amazing. So worth coming.
