UNDER MAJOR CONSTRUCTION.
Nice place in the down town area. Has a bar and pool on the third floor with good food and a free luau in the evening with live music and dancers (they'll try to get you up to dance to so be careful). I was surprised because the price was really good. Free valet parking and all the staff was super nice. Room was basic but clean and had an amazing view of the beach and ocean.
Hotel location is convenient to shops and beach; service standard. Online photos are very misleading, we booked 3 rooms in our group, the rooms are very outdated. Four of us got sick feeling dizzy, with fever and aching body maybe due to bad air circulation. One of the worst hotel we have stayed, I would have checked out earlier if I was travelling with just my family. Should be rated as 2 star. We were at Kona big island 4 days prior without an issue.
Checked in yesterday night at 11:30pm for our honeymoon. Initial customer service was awful. We had to wait half an hour to check in, with one customer ahead of us. The building is under construction in some areas. Photos online are misleading as they are renovation photos/post edited. Our room at first glance is ok. However once we settled in, we noticed there is water damage peeling wallpaper, and non private windows. This hotel is dated and they've added surface decor to cover that up. We traveled from Big Island, to Maui, and saved Oahu as the best for last. Unfortunately, this hotel is extremely disappointing. Hoping there is a better room available tomorrow or another hotel.
Room is super small. Great location. Nearby beach. Sweet staff but don't dare request a late check out because they will charge your card for a full day. Overall decent stay but next time I'm in Hawaii I'll for sure stay elsewhere
When I arrived, I could definitely see they were under construction. Scaffolding on the outside of the hotel, and some of the major parts downstairs are closed off (lobby/bar/pool). Once you are in your room you can hear the construction taking place during the day. At night I had no issues with the noise. The front desk was very friendly though and accommodating. Management wrote a letter sending their condolences due to the major renovations. Rooms is standard. LOCATION IS VERY CONVENIENT. Close to shops and restaurants, the ABC stores, and the beach!!
