RUDE RUDE RUDE STAFF. Ohana West is a great value for the dollar. However the staff at this Hotel is totally and completely rude. I personally witnessed staff standing around talking smack about the guests. Any time I asked for help with very small things I was treated very badly. If you need a place to stay on the cheap, it will work. If you are looking for a hotel with the Aloha spirit then this is NOT the place for you. My recommendation is to spend a few extra bucks and stay elsewhere.
this hotel was in a great location while the international marketplace is still there once they knock it down ...it wont be the same.
The absolute worst part: the elevators! Get ready for stairs!
I think overall the hotel needs a good upgrade.
This hotel is perfect for its price. You get exactly what you paid for, nothing more and nothing less. The only concern I had was with the attitude of the staff. Everyone was friendly with the exception of the housekeeping, my housekeeper was very rude. Other than that, I had a wonderful time. Yes, there is no Wi-Fi, but why would you want it? You're in Hawaii!
where to start.....the rooms are small the bathrooms very small, the beds are double beds and hard I found it very hard to fall asleep due to them being uncomfortable. the air conditioning didn't work properly thank god we went in their winter I could only imagine what it would be like in the warmer months I would die as the humidity was bad and with the air conditioner not working properly made falling asleep even harder, and to make it worse it was hot in the lifts and the hotels lobby, they really need to do something about it.
great location! 4 bars within 50yds of the lobby. pool bar was nice, and affordable. $4 drinks. small bar food menu.

I don't know if I would stay there again if I went back, I think I would pay the extra and have a bit of luxury with a comfy bed and decent air conditioner. the security guy was a bit rude also...didn't impress me one bit.
the house keeping was great, beds were made everyday and towels replaced and the rooms were clean and tidy.
