The room was very nice and clean but the hospitality and fees were ridiculously poor. The management and staff would not solve simple issues and relied on the fall back position that "it is not our policy" instead of trying to accommodating guests. Pool was not heated in the winter and closed at 7 pm I guess for the convenience of the hotel. Gates locked. Hot tubs were over run with children and infants during the day from three adjacent Hilton properties that had no hot tubs each tub had double the participants as the policy stated on the sign nearby. Again, pools were very cold. Main hotel lobby had no access to elevators. Parking fees were double the surrounding parking lots. There was no restaurant in the hotel . good shopping nearby and nice beach.

Good location, easy access to airport, beach, shopping areas, restaurants and transportation (taxi, trolley and bus). The Friday night fireworks at the Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon was amazing experience.

The Lagoon Tower is very close to the lagoon (thus the name) and the beach. We like this location because it's a short walk to Kalakaua which is the main stretch of Waikiki. Being a short walk away means it's not in a crazy busy area, yet it is close enough to walk out to the many restaurants and shops.

The minor drawback is that laundry is located in a shared area and not in the room itself like in some of the other HGVC properties. It was never a problem for us though as every time we went to use the washer / dryer, they were readily available.

We loved staying at the Lagoon Tower and can't wait to come back again!

As mentioned, the units have been updated and ours looked fresh, clean and tidy. Our unit had a king bed in the main bedroom and two full beds in the 2nd. The king bed in the main unit was very comfortable. The living room and kitchen area were spacious and the balcony looking out to the lagoon and ocean was a favorite for my fiancee's parents. We would have breakfast and coffee on the balcony in the morning and sometimes eat lunch or snacks out there as well. While the hotel was busy, we didn't hear any of our neighbors and always had a peaceful nights sleep. There is a full kitchen with fridge, stovetop, oven and microwave. This definitely helps you save on eating out all the time. The kitchen has also been nicely updated and fully functional with all of the utensils and cookware you need.

Hgvc so fun and comfortable

Room was not new but well furnished. Housekeeping was very friendly, and generous with the good quality (ānuenue branded) toiletries.

I suppose your experience may be different depending on which room you are staying. We stayed in level 3 on the poolside facing the Ilikai. When you weren’t hearing the screams of children going down the slide, you were entertained by the constant drum of the Ilikai’s A/C exhaust all day and all night long. During the day it’s slightly masked by the pool’s waterfall which turns off maybe around 7:00 pm to hear the Ilikai’s A/C exhaust in all its glory the rest of the night. Try sleeping to that without earplugs. The rooms were nice besides for the fact that they are a freezer locker. There is a vent in the kitchen that is connected to the hallway A/C constantly, very strongly blowing cold air into the room with no way to stop it(It also trickles in the vent in the bathroom meaning the floor and toilet seat are always freezing.) we complained and they screwed a piece of cardboard over the vent in the kitchen. It helped a little, but it’s ridiculous to have those vents always pumping cold air into the room with no control over them. There are room A/C controls but we never needed them as the room was already always freezing. It is a pretty hotel with a nice lagoon to float on and beautiful beaches, but the rooms leave a LOT to be desired. At least where we stayed. Besides for the cold temps, maybe the other side of the building is better, but my experience here was terrible.

Warm and welcoming hospitality.

The check-in process was quick, easy and the staff are very nice and friendly. The front desk no longer gives out leis, but when I told them it was my fiancee's parents first time to Hawaii, he went out of his way to track down the kukui nut leis just for them. Great customer service! We received great service from the bellmen, concierge and housekeeping as well. They were quick to deliver anything that we ran out of in the room and were always courteous.

This was my 3rd time staying in the Lagoon Tower by HGVC. It has been nicely updated since the last time I stayed here over 5 years ago. We've stayed at the Kalia Tower and also the Grand Waikikian, but like the Lagoon Tower based on its proximity to the lagoon and ocean. I stayed here most recently with my fiancee and her parents in a 2-bedroom ocean view unit and it was amazing.
