If I could rate less then one star I would. Terrible customer service both at the location and at their national customer service center. We were told we needed to call and we would be picked up. They do not pick up or drop off at this location and instead of apologizing for the mix up, their company caused, I got a rude tone and "We don't do that." Also it is impossible to find this location as it's in the middle of the mall. If you want to save your vacation and sanity do not use this company.
1st you should have to check the details of options and total price again!! They recommended us for upgrades with 30 dollars more and we choosed. But total priced charged more than we expected. We thought it might be due to the tax problem, but when we get the hotel we found out that they charged us 5 dollars more with the optional products as well (LDW option, it was different from our initial contract on online).
2nd, when we tried to return the car, the total price was different again (about 20 dollars more than the initial price!!). We claimed for that and the clerk just said "Oh" and tear the reciept and retyped the reciept again. Even there was no sorry or explanation.
3rd, they should have to learn how to be polite to deal with foreign customers!! They were super rude. When we tried to return it she requested us for the return mileage. But we choosed unlimited mileage car and there was no explanation in advance that we should have to check the mileage when we return the car. She just sighed and looked annoyed. Waikiki is the place for the tourist and you make the profit with that!! Learn how to deal with foreigners from oversea countries!!!!!
Saw some bad reviews and was worried about my experience, but honestly it was great! The hardest part is finding it. Look for the “customer service” counter on the first floor left of the escalators near the back of the mall (see photo). I rent 15+ times a year with Budget and this experience was just fine. Don’t expect the FastBreak experience...and who cares...you are in Hawaii! wouldn’t hesitate to rent again.
