This place is absolutely amazing. It puts all other pot pot establishments to shame. Broth is so good, sauce is not even needed. However, a sauce station is available. They offer buffet and a la cart. Quality of food is top notch. Meat is thinly sliced as it should be. Service is on point. Ambiance is pleasant. Decor is pleasing to the eye. Not a single thing to complain about. Will be coming back often.
My husband and I came on a Monday night. I was afraid it will still be busy so I called to make a reservation. Turns out they only accept reservations for more than 2 people. We ended up arriving early anyway so it wasn’t a big deal. The place was not packed but we noticed there was a lot of people. Glad we got there early.
We ordered the spicy pot and it had tons of spices: cardamom, nutmeg, star anise and a load of peppers. We thought it was going to be spicy but it wasn’t for us. The broth was good and just right.
We told our host/greeter that it’s our first time coming in when she asked if we wanted a set or the all you can eat option. Instead of making a suggestion or explaining how their restaurant worked she just kinda mocked us with a smile. All hotspot places are different and we wish they explained how theirs worked in a more professional manner. She came back (greeter) and we told her we wanted all you can eat. All I understood was we order round 1 then round 2 and round 3 if we wanted. I’m not sure if you can order multiples of something per round tho. Our servers changed but the first person who helped us out was nice are recommended happy hour. But he didn’t guide us to get just one sake. I thought it was a glass but it was a whole container. We got two. We’re not big drinkers so 1 would’ve been fine for us :( I’ve been a server before so if I was him I would’ve explained the portion size. They did fill up our pot when it was almost empty so that was one redeeming factor.
Atmosphere: Nice, sort of family friendly. There is a bar in the corner. Bathrooms were clean, which is a good sign.
Best Chinese hot pot in town, although it’s not as spicy as the real Chinese ones. Look at the menu online before you go and decide if you want to do all-you-can-eat or not. Each order of the buffet is very small. We went on a Friday night with a reservation. (just call ahead) But it seemed like there wouldn’t be a wait without a reservation either.
I go there quite a bit. The food is always good but it's not exactly cheap. 23 per adult for lunch. And 24 for dinner. Both option are all you can eat. And it only comes with maybe four types of meat to choose from and that's it. The rest are crab stick, veggies, noodles and the similar. I'll suggest to go there when you are starving otherwise it's really not worth it. The other option is to order food. It comes with a lot more options for meat. But because it's kinda pricey, you might just spend way more than all you can eat option. Just gotta weight it out before you go.
It was a good experience but not the type worth coming back for. I tried to like it but it was just a bit lackluster. I’ve had better experiences at other hot pots in the island and outside the island.
If you get all you can eat ($26 per person) it’s best to order a ton in round 1. The portion sizes are listed next to the food item but the question is: is that per order or per person? So 2 daikon per all you can eat person or per order? Shouldn’t we have have 4 slices because there were 2 of us. Seems like the rule was arbitrary and made to cheat people who didn’t know the rules so ask them first before ordering. They missed two of our orders and we have to ask them. The crab was just imitation crab I thought it was going to be a real crab. The lamb was probably their specialty but it had a lamb-y after taste, not the greatest... the slices were perfect for hot pots. Pork was arguably better than the lamb.
Food: Meat portion for all you can eat was great but vegetable portion was terrible. We only had 2 slices of daikon, a few pieces of Napa cabbage and bok choy.
Outstanding, everything was fresh, their two broths were wonderful. Service was also top notch. Great experience for all.
Service: Not great and almost non-existent... which seems typical of most hotspot places we’ve been except of course of Japanese owned and operated ones. The service in those places are better most of the time.
