Buho is one of my favorite places for Mexican in Waikiki. They have yummy tacos and a good selection for happy hour.
Delicious food, with Hawaiian/American flair! It was good, but not authentic Mexican food. Happy hour margarita was seriously a glass of ice with just a little bit of the drink, so we didn't order more...But the food was great!! We had chips and salsa, fish tacos, and a beef chimichanga. All meals had a little spice to them, but were good.
What an embracing place.... we had a party of 30 with set reservations. They one were willing to provide one server. Ordering and delivering drinks. Even after asking for additional services, I was told that is the best they can do. Absolutely horrible!!
Great place for food, drinks and salsa dancing.
Also they have taco Tuesdays which means 2 dollar tacos. They have a great rooftop that overlooks the strip.
We waited 45 minutes at the bar and an additional 50 minutes at our table without being greeted! I finally called the manager over and we got our meals within ten months minutes. The meals were comped but we spent 50.00 at the bar for four beers and some chips and salsa. Perhaps it was a bad night but all we wanted was some communication. Disappointed.
Hit or miss. kitchen closes at different times, staff can't give a straight answer about when that might be. Beware of you wanna eat late, happy hour is good, but they may just be a bar at that point making the happy hour deal worthless. Service is also so-so expect to be waiting a lot. Food is good to average depending on what you order. Elevator is funky experience as it shares with another Japanese restaurant.
