Thomas Square is the only park with a water fountain. The walkway crosses similar to the British flag. Similar to Beretania Street, a street honoring the relation with Britain. Renovation to the park is on-going. Planter box are added to the perimeter to "drive-out" Occupy Honolulu protest a few years back.
Construction walls are coming down today..looks like this will be open soon. No parking on the streets thru 10-4-2017.
Beautiful area but...under construction.
historic and hadnlongest running occupy came in the world. big trees, big fountain, bathrooms, near many things. sadly its now fenced for converting into some sort of moneymaker. i think the taxpayers should be repaid since it was built for us with our money but will become something you must pay for (again) to use+
