This place doesn't deserve this single star. I came here with my mom to get my birth certificate. I'm so disappointed and I understand why everyone else was frustrated. Staff were extremely rude and lines took way to long. We paid online and the lady was super rude.
Marriage license office opens at 8am compared to the main office. Got there 730am. Nice Staff let us in 745am. Took number #1. We were only ones there. No long line. Staffer went over marriage application that was completed online. Made some corrections and confirmed new married names. Took an oath then was explained to get married by a state registered officiant. Marriage certificate available 3 business days after officiant register it with state and copy available online after 24 hours. If need multiple copies, can order online. Best to order several copies to save money instead of ordering one at a time. When picking up copies, go to service window outside next to main office.
Experience was a little painful to get a copy of birth certificate since I did not initially grab a number ticket. Mandatory to apply online. If applying in person, must request on their tablet from their office. Recommend paying by credit card if able to. Then you can utilize the faster prepaid line. Parking police really looks for cars without paid parking receipts. It only costs a dollar per hour. I saw two people frustrated about getting parking violation tickets.
UPDATE HOURS OF OPERATION!!! We came all the way from waianae to find out you guys close at 2:30p.m. but yet, google says 4:30p.m.. State workers should work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. You guys get paid a lot to do what? Work half day. Rate: 1 star but actuality, 0 stars. SUCKS!!!
Did the application online which made our trip really quick. Soon as we walked in suite 101 we were greeted, rushed back, double checked our application and done in 20 minutes.
