quite refreshing to find worldclass art mixed in with native Hawaiian art along the walls at this fine establishment. this museum was better than a few art museums on the mainland even. highly recommended
I went there in august.
This museum is incredible in every way possible,
the people working there are adorable, the art displayed is amazing and the guides are so nice.
The museum was interesting yet lacked a more updates touch.
Well curated art museum that’s free to visit. The exhibits are small, but there’s a lot of interesting art by local artists that make HiSAM worth a visit. If you’re in Waikiki the museum is easily accessible by bus, and you can explore downtown and Chinatown afterwards.
It's surely one of the most beautiful museum I've ever seen.
Merci beaucoup pour votre accueil chaleureux.
OMG. You will find more local "fine" art at the HSAM then any other gallery on the island. Both contemporary and retro. Admission is free! If you are not into art, spend some relaxing time here at the courtyard. What was once a pool is now a glass floor for you to walk on. And there are concrete seating for you too. Enjoy the local art.
