Nice little bakery in Ala Moana serving semi-sweet and savory items. If you like Japanese-style baked goods, then this is the place for you. If you like things on the sweet or super sweet side, you might want to go to Liliha Bakery or Dunkin Donuts.

You can really taste the matcha in their products which is great for those who love the flavor. The taste and the texture of the bread was also delicious. My family wasn't too impressed with the ham and cheese calzone...just a thin slice of ham with cheese. The bacon Epi looks great, but a little on the saltier-side (I know it's bacon...but I didn't expect it to be that salty with bread surrounding it).
Love that they opened in pearlridge shopping center! Now I won't have to travel so far to get fresh great tasting Hokkaido baked goods
Overall, it's a cute little bakery with a nice selection of Japanese goods to choose from. Can't wait to see what their next seasonal special is.
They also have fresh juice and tea, coffee, soup and sell different flavored jam. Their 50/50 juice-tea combo was refreshing with a slight tang to it. Not overpowering...but enough to give it a nice citrus flavor.
Sorry, but there is no "BRUG" bakery in Hokkaido, only a "BURG" bakery. Did they change the name or is this a copy cat of the original? Anyway, the service is nothing like they original. Staff seemed half asleep and bread is too sweet and greasy.
At the Ala Moana site.... Sorry but their kome bread wasn't ready at noon. Bakeries bake early morning so everything is ready when the doors open. The kome wasn't. In fact it wasn't to be ready until 2, fully sliced.
