If you actually are sick you might end up in tears just trying to get an appointment. I called in to set up an appt to get a TB test done for work. I also had not been feeling well and I wanted to make an appt after the TB test to see a doctor. The woman on the phone kept saying, "Just see the nurse". I know a nurse can't write me a prescription and I was almost positive that I needed an antibiotic. The lady on the phone did all she could do to prevent me from making an appointment to actually see a doctor so I just had to agree to talk to the nurse. The lady on the phone said "No the nurse can't write prescriptions but she can have something approved by a doctor". Well by the time my appt came for the TB test I knew I needed antibiotics. I talked to the nurse and now she wants me to come back the same day, when I already had to take the morning off. It was so frustrating because she couldnt even pass the message along to the doctor. I now needed an appt. Like I wanted in the first place. So I make the appt for around the time when I come in to get the TB checked. As I get into my car, I feel like I cant wait, Im thinking about how I've been feeling. I said no to coming back the next day because I had something to do. Only with the way I felt I realize there was no way I'd be going. When I got back to work, I called back to move the appt up. I get the same lady again and she does the same hassling over the phone, not letting me make an appt. And she tells me "we dont have any openings" so I said "I was just there 10 minutes ago and you had openings" so she goes "I cant make the appt, the nurse has to". Why didnt she just tell me that from the beginning?? Instead, she made me feel like I needed to argue with her on the phone trying to get an appt and she lied about no availability. When I hung up, I honestly cried. I know its because Im sick, otherwise Id be able to hold it together better. When you do not feel well, you shouldnt have to fight for an appt. I've only been to this location one other time for a physical. I imagine you are fine coming here so long as you aren't sick. Or simply bypass the people who answer the phone. Ask for a nurse. They should tell you this. My last doctor's office did not operate like this.
