This is one of my favorite places to shop for food on the island. They have everything. I especially enjoy the salad bar and the gourmet hot food, it's important to eat healthy to maintain and improve quality of life. Personal health is so important it's important to eat healthy and make good decisions about healthcare, including finding honest physicians, friends, and mentors who will improve your life and be healthy interpersonal assets. In my opinion Whole Foods is one of those assets, they help to keep me healthy through providing a wide selection of quality food products. Thank you Whole Foods.
Parking can be difficult, and the store itself is crowded(confused people, strollers, etc). Very difficult to make a quick run here. Burrito and sandwich counter can be great, but often the wait is so long the value proposition changes. Hot bar is very hit or miss. As wonderful as some of the employees, produce, and specialty items are, you do pay a premium.
Whole Food or shall we say Amazon-Whole-Food. I can't wait to see drone dropping off my grocery (within 2 hours). It is just a matter of when. I mean, you can already do curbside grocery pickup. I'm sure Amazon will improve the Whole Food's current delivery operation ten fold. In the future, your smart refrigerator and smart pantry will probably be able to order your food directly from Whole-Food without you lifting a finger. I welcome the future. The future welcome Amazon-Whole-Food.
I am undecided on wholefoods for best produce. Ever since they expanded they have lost a lot of their small retail, attention to detail, great service ability. Sad to say that I would only visit one if there wasn't a marketplace in the area.
On 11/15, I ordered a "Roasted Prime Rib (Cooked)" from the Whole Foods online shop for pickup on 11/19, among other food items for a rather large order. I arrived at the Whole Foods Market at 4211 Waialae Ave on 11/19 to pickup my order (>$250) only to be handed a rock solid frozen slab of meat that was purportedly my Roasted Prime Rib, which was described, on the Whole Foods Website as "Traditional elegance. Simply seasoned, perfectly roasted". Of course the expectations for my $120 piece of ahem, Roasted, Prime Rib did not meet what was being handed to me. To make a long story short, as is typical in this region, no combination of supervisors nor managers were able to come up with an acceptable solution, as I tried to explain that I had a dinner party in only two hours. No additional accommodations, nor apologies were rendered, perhaps a gift coupon, perhaps trying to find an adequate substitute from your deli. I was sent scurrying back to my car without a cooked meal, the "cooked" aspect being the critical feature and also my original and singular objective when originally purchasing such an expensive meal from such an inadequately staffed retailer. Extremely disappointed on the Ewa Plain. Will be sharing my experience with all those that listen.
