I've been to Dr. Chow for my L1 fractures from two separate falls, all referrals from other doctors. Dr. Chow is very knowledgeable. He fully explained to me my conditions, options, why surgery was not suitable for me, and sent me for physical therapy, which did help.
Willie, Dr. Chow's receptionist and assistant is excellent. She is very approachable, warm, helpful, extremely organized, courteous, and always polite.
Dr. Chow has now moved to Pali Momi. I have not visited since then.
Two years later / 2003 having had *severe Chronic Pain in that area from 1st. surgery , upon advice of 3 new Orthopedic Surgeons I was told to return to Dr. Chow to have all the Hardware removed . In all these years since , the *severe chronic pain still persists Daily. Physical Therapy exercises , Pain Management , pool walking - etc. I've tried them all . I need to use Opiates daily Doctor recommended but due to strength > not to much effect . I am sure many patients over the years are pleased with Doctor's help but I just didn't have very good luck .
Dr. Chow is cordial, professional, spent quality time with me to ensure that I understood my situation, my options, and to answer my questions.
His office, waiting room, and patient's rooms were always clean and sterile.
In addition, I have called months after seeing Dr. Chow for various reasons including prescription for a back brace, transferral of records, etc. They have been more than accommodating and obliging.
When my pain persisted, Dr. Chow referred me to another physician that focused more on chronic pain.
Was not good . This was back in 2001 - Laminectomy Fusion / full hardware insert on L-4,5 and S-1 .
Dr. Chow was always busy yet I felt like I was never rushed and my visit, injury, and concerns, were important to him.
My wait time was minimal, 15 minutes at most.
