I cannot say enough great things about Kaimana Divers! I just completed my open water certification and I am completely obsessed with the underwater world!! Gabe runs an amazing company that puts customer service, safety, communication, and fun at the forefront of the experience for all divers! I am so grateful for Kat, my incredible dive instructor, as her professionalism, passion, and patience allowed my diving endeavor to be successful in so many ways! The instructors at Kaimana have a contagious, innate energy that lets you know that they are all doing what they truly love to do. Any anxiety you may have will instantly dissolve when you take your first plunge into the beautiful Hawaiian waters with this crew. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! Many Mahalos and Aloha!

Gabe, the owner of the shop, made the whole experience easy. He answered all the questions I had since this was my first time diving in Hawaii, and he set me up with a great instructor to get back in the water with. The two instructors, Denise and Haley, were fantastic and totally personable and the boat we went out on was very spacious and comfortable. Overall it was a great experience, and I'm definitely coming back. I would recommend it to anyone.

Gabe and the crew are consistently great. I have enjoyed every dive.

I had 3 different instructors for the course. The name of the last instructor was on the card, but not the other two. For the deep dive, we rushed it a lot. The instructor was leading 3-4 people (regular divers) and me. My ND time was running out, so I was swimming a few feet above. They went around the ship and by the time she was done, I was out of ND time, and we had to go up. There was no time to do any of the practice that we'd discussed before the time (color matching, N toxicity test, etc.). For the navigation course, the instructor had me go on a square path. Something went wrong with my compass and I ended up doing a triangle. She said it's OK and we moved on to exploring. For buoyancy, we spent two minutes trying to hang out at the same depth and then that was it. In general I felt that they just wanted to check the boxes and move on to exploring. They didn't seem to care much about having a proper course that teaches the student. My OW course I took last year was significantly better and more complete. The OW instructor was very diligent and cared a lot to make sure we repeated a task over and over until we felt comfortable. I didn't have this sense with this company AT ALL. Everyone was very nice though. Gabe himself (owner I believe) is super responsive and totally on top of his work. If it wasn't for him I'd give it a 1-star. The instructor who reviewed the knowledge with me (I forgot his name at this time) spent a good amount of time with me to review the responses and discuss them, so that was great. Thank you.

I don't give five stars for anything. Well except this time. Left messages at several local dive shops only Kaimana had the courtesy to return the call. Gabe was quick to get me lined up on a two tank dive. They picked me up at my hotel and had all the equipment I and the other divers needed. Haliegh was my lead for this dive. She really treated me like royalty. We dove the Tiger Shark and Rojo Reef. Got to see Whire Tip Sharks, Turtles, eels and all kinds of fish. Had such a great time I booked another dive.
