It was my last day of vacation and had been in a minor car wreck earlier in the day, I was not the driver, which pretty much ruined the day/trip. So I decided to check out Hawaiian Style which was conveniently across the alley from my hotel. The nice girl behind the counter explained everything very well and the whole crew made me feel comfortable about the whole rental process. I got a helmet cause it's your only dome piece. Also I got the insurance just in case. Learned that one earlier in the day. The second I left the rental shop and was on the road I forgot about everything and just enjoyed the view. Drove up and down the east coast it was awesome. Stopped here and there taking photos and just enjoying the day. The whole experience from beginning to end was just chill. Thanks for saving the trip guys.
We rented scooters for a day and had SO MUCH fun! It was nice to get out and explore on our own, and conveniently many parking lots that were closed off for cars still had scooter parking available. The staff at Hawaiian style was awesome. If you get the insurance (which is pretty cheap) you have almost no liability if something goes wrong and you get extra hours. The little map they give is super helpful too.

Excellent place to rent a moped. I recommend a moped rental for anyone visiting the island and I would most definitely recommend renting from Hawaiian Style Rentals and Sales. Great friendly staff who are extremely helpful. I would also recommend the Hawaiian Insurance coverage which comes at a low rate of $25 one time fee, gives you a peace of mind knowing you pretty have no liability as long as you are responsible in locking the scooter and also gives you the option of keeping the moped out for a few additional hours past "closing/return" times. I would also highly recommend the Sport moped so you don't struggle uphill. I rented the Buddy Basket moped, $40 a day, and it was fun to ride, but definitely struggle on every uphill, I weigh 160 lbs for sake of reference, then the great staff seamlessly traded out the Buddy Basket for the Sport for just the $10 difference, they didn't even bother me about the "non full tank of gas" I returned the Buddy Basket with that morning. I think that was the 1st time I ever dealt with a rental place that didn't charge an arm and a leg about a gallon or two of gas missing upon return. The Sport had no problems on any hills and was a fun ride. For $50 a day, WELL WORTH IT!!!!
Bottom line: come here and enjoy the coolest way to see Hawaii!
This place is epic. Brad and the rest of the team were super helpful and made sure to answer all my questions. Beyond that, the scooter I was given ran flawlessly! I rode that thing along the coast and got epic shots that I probably would've never noticed had I been driving a car.
