I'm new to the YMCA and so far I really like it. It's really female friendly and clean. There aren't crazy meat heads grunting and ruining the vibe. I will say it didn't get 5 stars because it's only open till 7 on Saturdays and 5 on Sunday's. I really like having the flexibility of hours when it comes to the gym and this limits me a lot. They should consider having a set 4:30 am - 10:00 pm schedule. Other than that the staff seem to be really nice and welcoming.
I like going to this YMCA? The facility is nice and clean. Members and staff are friendly. There is a Subway inside to get food and drink. Lots of classes to choose from their group classes. I am now taking zumba and yoga from them. Good teachers!
I have two children and enrolled them in several classes, including swimming, Taekwondo, Piano Lessons, Dance, etc. It’s important to note that the instructors of these classes can be outside contractors. I enrolled my daughter in a dance class, only to attend the first class and find they are all rehearsing for a recital the following week. Doesn’t make sense, but we sat and watched them for a whole class, only to request a refund due to the clear lack of coordination and timing on their enrollments. The refund took 3 months to finally get after 4 physical visits and many conversations with incompetent staff and management and finally legal and consumer reporting threats. They don’t really care about you or your child, becomes clear pretty quickly, just your money. Swimming lessons were always very awkward. The instructors are all very lackadaisical, don’t speak to parents nor seem to have any basic organization skills. For whatever reason, probably professionalism and social awareness, you basically have to be on top of everything from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. For piano lessons, my daughter was setup in the middle of the lobby with 20 screaming kids running around from an after school program where the kids manage themselves. Did I mention the poorly qualified staff? If you see the way they talk and yell to the children you would not send your children here, I assure you. If you did hear the conversations, you might think you had come across some chain gang on work release, “Get off dat!”, “Oy, get over dare!”. Sad part is that I’m not sure any other better options exist in the area.
Great group of workers here. Aloha
Staff is very friendly and helpful. New equipment with TV. Clean locker rooms and exercise areas. Pretty big pool. It gets kind of busy though since Central being renovated. Good experience all around ☺
