After just moving to Oahu I spent 2 weeks applying to jobs with no responses. Someone suggested a staffing agency, so I applied online and came in to meet with Lisa K. I have never met anyone so nice, positive and helpful. The front desk staff at the office is always very professional and polite, whether in person or on the phone. Lisa was able to set me up with a temp job the day after I came in and by mid week she had found a long-term position for me. Since then, any time I've had questions she has been incredibly quick and helpful in her responses. I really feel like she cares about the people they hire.

I have worked with and for this company for collectively a year and a half, and I have enjoyed all of it. I tried both the Industrial side and the Clerical side of the jobs through this company. I was willing to start off with small jobs to prove myself, and it paid off. They've always kept me busy with work, whether I was looking for something short term or something more lengthy. One thing some people fail to realize is that this company will not fit everyone's preferences with what kind of positions you are hoping to get and the way you get paid and such. They will try their best though. Nevertheless, as someone who has had to go job hunting a lot, I always didn't put my hope and faith in just one position, I applied in lots of places until someone called back. So just keep looking even if ALTRES isn't the right fit for you. I appreciate everything ALTRES has done for me and the many opportunities they have brought into my life. I hope to continue working with them even after finding the right career for myself. Thanks ALTRES Fam! :)
I decided to give this agency a try cause I need a job. So I did the phone interview followed by the same ole online MS testing and typing test. A few days later I get some text message about a "potential job" that could start on Monday and I needed to come to their office on a Friday by 3pm. I live inEwa Beach so I promptly went. I had to do another assessment test in their computer lab, a quick interview with two recruiters and watch some video. After that I was told they would be in touch. Such BS! So on Monday I reported back as usual by phone and they claimed the employer had to cancel the job. So I did the regular checking in and of course "nothing was available". This kept going for about 2 weeks. Your better off getting a job at McDonalds then working with this place.
I have had a great experience with this agency -- the staff are extremely professional and helpful! Although the hiring process (interviewing, skills assessments, etc) can be a bit lengthy, it's worth it in the end to get matched with a good employer where you enjoy the work and fit in with their company culture. Highly recommend this agency to anyone who is looking for a part-time or full-time job.
