Beyond that, the staff should all learn to be a little happier. The magic is gone at this location.
They always have crayons for the kids but almost never anything to color. And then when you ask, the staff runs around finishing everything else besides getting the paper for the kids -- all the while you have kids fighting over the one sheet already layered with crayon from the previous 10 kids forced to draw on the single sheet of paper. All this while looking like they absolutely hate their job.
Every time I go to this store, the only thing "happy" about the experience is the greeter. If Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth, this store is the least happy. There's one greeter who is really friendly and should be an example for the rest of the staff. The customer service here is horrible. You'll be lucky to find a smile beyond the greeter. And if you do get the attention of someone, hopefully you won't get the staff that will look at you and then walk away.
Lovely staff, great selection. Even some Hawaii exclusive items, and some park only items!
Then when they finally getting around to finding that coloring paper, they give you one...while 4 kids sit at the table. If letting the kids have a sheet of paper is so difficult, either make the paper readily available for self service or get rid of the crayons.
Prices here are Disney theme park levels without the theme park experience. If Disney wants to keep the magic alive, I strongly recommend training the staff here like they do Disney cast members.
P.S. The paper is in the first drawer closest to the kids area.
We will buy some moana products via disney store and amazon. The moana items we will buy was the talking Maui action figure, Moana heart of Te Fiti necklace, Moana costume, Moana wig, Moana Costume shoes for kids, Moana PJ Pals Pajamas, Moana figurines, Pua plush, Heihei plush and Maui Costume. I love Moana as ,my favorite movie of all time.
Love the disney store here, really spent alot.
Disappointed with Disney Store at Ala Moana Mall visit yesterday. Store seemed to be under staffed and not available for assistance with merchandise for customers. I have visited this store several times and every time I've been the computers have been down to use gift cards. My daughter received gift cards for her birthday and we have yet to use them at this location. I expect better service from Disney brand stores.
The other issue that always annoys me besides the service is the kids table.
