The atmosphere is great. Very nice place to stop and hang out. My favorite shops there are Eden in Love, the market, Coffee Bean and Lucy's Lab.
I absolute love the South Shore Market. It has so many boutique stores.
Lucy's Lab and Creamery was delicious. Had the Pan de Cremé Azuki-caramel ice cream with savory arare crackers - umami! Contrast in the textures, flavors and hot bread with the cold ice cream.
South Shore Market is such a neat place. Many of the shops in there are one of a kind, yummy eateries are nearby, and Tj Maxx & Nordstrom are right upstairs. There are tables and chairs with outlets, plus free Wi-fi with an easy set up - just follow the steps to register. Often, there is live music, too! Parking is simple (unless it's the holidays, or New Wave Friday, which is the 2nd Friday of every month).
The merchandise has so much inventive energy and thoughtfulness to them. Sometimes, I wish I can join them to make things instead of just buying the already made.
A little pricey but great convince for the tourist. It also has great access to the rest of ward village including in walking distance to a Bank of Hawaii and even a gym. Many eating spots for lunch and dinner around that place as well as being in walking distance to windward mall.
