Last visit the whole store smelled of slightly too old fish... So very unappealing and I did not opt to browse, just grabbed something small and checked out.
I go here specifically for wines - their selection is great. I agree with some, however, in that I would like to see an expanded beer selection. Prices are fair.
Great selection and good prices to match. Holiday line was long but moved quickly. Grabbed a last minute gift for a wine enthusiast and found exactly what we were looking for. They fit a lot in a small store.
Wine selection is decent. I usually buy $12-$25 bottles from Costco though.
This is the best place to buy wine that I have found in Honolulu. Incredible range of wines and reasonable prices. Tamura's also has a fine collection of liquor, liqueurs, and beer.
The cider selection seems to be either constantly sold out of the good stuff or is never restocked.
My visits have been met with mixed success. The beer selection could be improved I have been to less specialized stores with a slightly wider selection of non-generic stuff. Plenty of main-stream choices, a few growing in popularity, but mainly just the known stuff. Not good for picking up a new/seasonal brew from your favorite micro-brewery.
First time here and I love this store but hate there parking. From Waialae Ave you can only turn right into the parking lot. And it's a hassle to to left onto the parking lot from 10th Avenue. Parking is very limited, but you'll find exotic and everyday liquor, wine and beer.
