I had an argument with the woman at the Chevron in Hawaii Kai. She actually cussed at me, while I was having a violent allergic reaction to her perfume (coughing, I turned around as not to cough on her) while paying for my coffee. I went out the door and she followed me out to go back on her smoke break. I turned around and said, Oh one more thing. I forgot to buy a car wash. She said, "You're pissing me off! Why do you keep coming back if you don't like my perfume?!" I had explained that I have an allergic reaction to certain perfumes and I was making a list of which ones they were. She had Proudly told me that it was called Si. During her chiding of me in the end, she said, "Don't worry, you'll never be able to afford it." I looked it up; a 5oz bottle at Giorgio Armani is $140. I don't know how she figures what I can afford. I was taking my 4th van for gas and a car wash, and she's working in a gas station.
Amazingly good coffee here, I rarely go to Starbucks any more. No line to stand in either. Brand is Hawaiian Paradise.
This place has gone downhill. One of their credit card machines is cracked and I was cut sliding my credit card in. When I told the girl inside, she didn't even apologize that I was visibly bleeding from their machine and said she was busy with a phone call. Think her name was Leanne. That was a month ago and they have yet to fix the credit card slot. The dryer in their car wash hardly works anymore and your car comes out soaking wet.
This newly rebranded Texaco is a good place to pick up a drink after tackling the many trails in the area. Big property with convenience store and car wash. Air and water for your car is available on the east side of the property.
Purchased a car wash from the front counter (in cash), went to go through the car wash and it said it was temporarily out of service... not sure why it was sold to me in the first place without warning it was down... Im not on the east side of the island often so I went to return the car wash from the same lady I had just purchased it from. She tells me she cannot return my money and that i would need to come in the follow morning to talk to the owner if I wanted anything returned to me... she was rude and overall unhelpful. Waste of ten dollars as I won't be returning before it expires.
