Possibly one of, if not the best breakfast I've had on this island. Portions aren't as big as I'd like, but every bite is euphoric. The Loco Moco with crispy garlic fried rice and Deep Fried French Toast were all amazing. Our server was very friendly and personable too. I want to try everything on the menu! The restaurant is quite small on the inside so expect a wait if you don't get there early. But it's worth it.
We stopped here for brunch right before heading to the diamond head trail. They were very flexible in making most dishes vegetarian. Had volcano eggs with vegetables and frittata of the day - which was pesto frittata. Both were very flavorful and fresh. The decor was nice and the staff was friendly but the service was a little slow. If you are in the area, definitely check out Koko Head Cafe!
Excellent food! Amazing service! Brother and I were on Oahu for 2 more days and both went here for breakfast. Volcano eggs, pancakes, etc were so delicious! I think our server's name was Jacci but they were all great! Finely a must on your visit to Honolulu!
Worth the wait, or come in after the rush. Rich and delicious, this place does its take on traditional hawaiian dishes; most leaning towards fish, pork, and sauces. A standout is the daily fish and eggs bowl, lighter than some of the other dishes. Another favorite is the french toast. If you’ve got things to do right after eating, a lot of their meals can slow you down! I often go for just the eggs and bacon as not to be impeded :) This place is a total tourist haven but with good reason. A lot of the great staff that opened this place up have all moved on, but this place is still dependable. It can sometimes take a ridiculously long time to get your food.
Phenomenal Food!! Coming from a fellow chef, I give this place very high praise. The food is somewhat simple, but the flavours are fantastic. Certainly make a point of visiting this place while in Honolulu
